Doisy Charles – Songs for Voice and Guitar
Charles Doisy established himself as an important actor of the guitar world in Paris between 1797 and 1807. He was, at the same time, composer, teacher, performer, publisher and dealer of scores and instruments. He was well-recognized from his guitar method ‘Principles of the Guitar’ (1801).
Featuring 64 original works and many arrangements, his catalog is mainly composed of chamber music with guitar and collections of vocal works including five collections of romances with guitar accompaniment.
